After working for many years as an applications architecture and programming manager for ICMA-RC, a not-for-profit financial services company, Mr. Fortner was promoted to the level of senior manager. At his post, he is responsible for keeping teams up-to-date on the latest communication developments and resolving production support issues in a timely fashion. He engages in diligent process analysis and develops integrated project plans by employing a hard-work approach and demonstrating his trustworthiness in the workplace.
Mr. Fortner is a leader in facilitating and promoting project management methodologies. One of his key strengths is his ability to communicate to the business community and the technology community and create an open, agile and flexible environment. On average, he manages more than 30 projects per year, playing an instrumental and active role in seeing each one through to completion.
In 2000, Mr. Fortner earned an MBA in finance from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in economics and a Bachelor of Science in engineering. He is a credentialed Project Management Professional and retains affiliations with New Visions Toastmasters, and the NC State Wolfpack Club.
