Robert N. Webb Is Featured In The Ranks Of Stanford Who's Who
Stanford Who's Who welcomes Robert N. Webb to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of his exceptional effort in the Entertainment Industry.
CLARENCE GARDENS, SA, AUSTRALIA, May 21, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Robert N. Webb to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of his exceptional effort in the Entertainment Industry. As an Independent Production Designer for the past 15 years, Robert has routinely demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
Mr. Webb is involved with designing sets for feature films, television, and commercials. He has a wealth of experience and relationships within the Australian film industry, having made his start working in Art Department on films such as Rabbit Proof Fence, One Night the Moon and Aussie Rules. Robert quickly rose to Art Department Head on the award winning film, Modern Love. Since that time he has been responsible for designing over 10 feature films, including Ten Empty, Beautiful, and The Caterpillar Wish, for which he won the Inside Film Award for Best Production Design.
Robert then designed Greg McLean's internationally acclaimed thriller, Wolf Creek, which was screened at the Sundance Film Festival and sold to Dimension Films. He went on to design Mr. McLean's follow up, Rogue, where he led a team of over 40 people and had the extraordinary opportunity to build vast sets including an island, a crocodile lair, a tourist boat and the atmospheric General Store.
In 2008, Robert designed three feature films, including the effects-heavy horror film The Loved Ones. In the same year, he designed actor John Jarrett's Savages Crossing and Broken Hill for US Producer Chris Wyatt. Then in 2009, Robert was responsible for designing the $30 million feature Tomorrow, When The War Began which was Directed by Stuart Beattie and shot by Ben Nott.
Robert has been the recipient of numerous National Awards for Best Design. He was also an AFI Finalist for Tomorrow, When The War Began and Wolf Creek. In addition to his incredible success as a production designer, Robert is also a fine art dealer and interior designer.
